The Executive Committee of CHINASOFT 2008 Convened 1st General Meeting

On December 21, 2007, the Executive Committee of CHINASOFT 2008 convened the first session
general meeting, which was presided by He Huazhang, Vice Director of the Executive Committee
and Vice Major of Chengdu City. Reports on the general plan and preparation acceleration of CHINASOFT 2008 by the Executive Committee Office were heard in the meeting. He Huazhang brought forward specific requirements on the preparation work of CHINASOFT 2008 and addressed that Mr. Li Chuncheng, Secretary of CPC Chengdu Committee, and Mr. Ge Honglin, Mayor of Chengdu City, agreed to act as the directors of the Executive Committee of CHINASOFT 2008. This seldom happened in the exposition and convention events in Chengdu , but it fully showed the great concerns by the CPC Chengdu Committee and the Municipal Government to this event. Mr, He Huazhang requested that each member should further the understanding, strengthen the guidance, perform in accordance with the responsibilities and work together to create new highlights and development based on the previous five sessions of CHINASOFT 2008.
The meeting requested that the sponsors and relevant departments should detail the implementation scheme for the event. The publicity department of the CPC Chengdu Committee should guide the publicity work and publicize Chengdu software industry through CHINASOFT 2008 and prepare the publicity plan for the event efficiently. The meeting also requested that the relevant departments undertaking major tasks for preparation should work out the working scheme in accordance with the general plan and the responsibilities of each department and should advance each preparation work timely. Furthermore, the meeting requested to further improve the preparation efficiency. The Executive Committee Office should establish contact person meeting system and each member unit should specify the contact person responsible for the integrated coordination work undertaken by the department. The Executive Committee should convene contact persons ' meeting regularly and notify the progress and the existing problems in the form of briefings timely.
The responsible persons from the CPC Chengdu Committee Publicity Department, Chengdu Development and Reform Committee, Chengdu Economic and Trade Committee, Chengdu Transportation Committee, Chengdu Public Security Bureau, Chengdu Bureau of Commerce, Chengdu Informatization Office, Taiwan Affairs of Chengdu Government, Chengdu Education Bureau, Chengdu Personnel Bureau, Chengdu Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chengdu Health Bureau, Chengdu Sports Bureau, Chengdu Press and Publishing Bureau, Chengdu Authority Affairs Administration, Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, Chengdu Urban Administrative Bureau, Chengdu Finance Department, Chengdu Investment Promotion Committee, Chengdu Government Project Supervisory and Guidance Office, CCPIT Chengdu Council, High-Tech Zone Administrative Committee, Dujiangyan People ' s Government, Wuhou District People ' s Government, Chengdu Media Group, Chengdu International Exposition and Convention Center attended the meeting.
